    Where to go to the beach in Saint-Pierre?

    The beach at Saint-Pierre, near the seafront, is one of the most accessible in the town. There is a sandy beach with a safe swimming area, ideal for families. You can also take advantage of the beach at Grande Anse, a few kilometres to the south, for a wilder setting.

    Where to go in Saint-Pierre ?

    Saint-Pierre’s seafront is a great place to hang out. It offers ocean views, green spaces and numerous restaurants and cafés. The Nelson Mandela urban park and the area around the port are also pleasant places to stroll.

    You can also wander around Saint-Pierre’s historic centre, which is full of colourful Creole buildings, or to the fairground market that takes place on Saturday mornings along the seafront. The area around the Tamil temple and the shopping streets are also well worth exploring.

    Where to swim in Saint-Pierre ?

    Saint-Pierre’s main beach offers a safe swimming area with anti-shark nets and a calm lagoon. It’s the ideal place to enjoy the sea in complete safety. You can also opt for the Grande Anse beach for a different experience, although the swimming here is more risky.

    The Saint Pierre seafront is an ideal place for running. The promenade that runs alongside the ocean provides a pleasant, flat setting for running. You can also run in the city’s urban parks or on the paths of Grande Anse for a more natural experience.
